2010 Ford Transit Connect Wagon Review

The 2010 Ford Transit Connect Wagon is virtually the same as the Transit Connect, but configured for passenger duty, with seating for four. Standard Transit Connect come with a more stark level of appointments and seating for two, with the intent that the rearward portion of the vehicle will be turned into a specialized cargo area—for a small business, plumber, or delivery person, for instance.

The Transit Connect was just brought to the U.S. in 2010, but it's been sold in Europe and elsewhere since 2003. Designed from scratch as a cargo vehicle, the Transit Connect comes in passenger and cargo versions, with seating for up to five, and carries a base price of $21,475. Economical operation is a big plus; the 2010 Ford Transit Connect is powered by a 136-horsepower, 2.0-liter Duratec engine, with a four-speed automatic transmission driving the front wheels—essentially the same powertrain as the Ford Focus.
